1st European Society for Urological Research Distinguished Award Dominique Chopin sponsored by Elli Lilly and Company is given to Professor Jan Trapman, Erasmus University Rotterdam for his contributions in science and European Urology networks. The award ceremony will take place on 17 October 2008 in Barcelona.

 

Mission Statement:

The European Society for Urological Research succeeds the European Society for Urological Oncology and Endocrinology (ESUOE).

The object of the Society for Urological Research is the promotion of scientific research in the field of urology and related areas. Members are molecular biologists, immunologists, epidemiologists, biochemists and clinical urologic scientists.

The society wants:

  • to contribute to the coordination of experimental research in the field of urology and related areas.
  • To provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of basic scientific topics related to urology
  • To develop educational forums concerning scientific advancements related to the field of urology
  • To promote collaborative investigations among scientists with an emphasis on the interchange of expertise among clinical and basic scientists
