The Meeting

Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to join the 29th Meeting of the EAU Section of Urological Research (ESUR), taking place from 19 to 21 October 2023 in Basel, Switzerland. Fostering interdisciplinary interactions, the meeting is organised in collaboration with the EAU Section of Uropathology (ESUP).

This year, we will put a special emphasis on experimental urological research and have invited outstanding international experts to present their latest basic and translational findings. In particular, we will discuss the newer generation of model systems (e.g. patient-derived organoids, xenografts, mouse models) and their application to decipher mechanisms driving urological diseases and treatment resistance, as well as their use for precision medicine. In addition, we will tackle hot topics in the field of urological research which include (i) combination therapies (ii) infectiology, immunity, and microbiome, (iii) spatial biology, and (iv) extracellular vesicles: from mechanisms to therapeutic opportunities.

Providing a platform for young scientists and clinicians to present their work and maximising interactions, the meeting will also include oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts and two poster sessions. In addition to scientific presentations, several courses and workshops will be proposed to disseminate knowledge on cutting-edge laboratories technologies (e.g. technical course on patient-derived organoids of urological cancers).

We look forward to welcoming you in Basel!
